I'd like to offer a slightly cheaper menu, as my packed lunch cost €25.
It's difficult to give a good rating to a hotel where my cap, left in the room at dinnertime, disappeared after a staff member came by! Having traveled for years in France and around the world, we've never had such an unfortunate experience!
It's a shame there wasn't a small bottle of water and tissues available in the room.
We were looking forward to the restaurant's menu. Unfortunately, after being offered a table and an aperitif, we were surprised to learn that the head chef was absent (in training, we were told). With her absence, there was no menu! And with no manager present, the following menu was presented to us (on a sticky note!): "snails," "fish," a "non-standard dessert," not even a cheese course! This situation felt like a rip-off! This attitude is unprofessional: we should have been informed so we could have rescheduled our stay. Luckily, we discovered a very welcoming little restaurant with delicious food just a stone's throw away: Gibaldi. We highly recommend it!
The bathroom in the room was very small. The bed mattress was uncomfortable.
It was very good; the room was large and comfortable, as was the bathroom, but two minor observations: the lighting seemed insufficient, especially the bedside lamps (impossible to read!), and I was surprised by the quick turnaround in the morning: the bed had been made very hastily (duvet just folded down, pillows askew... nothing dramatic, of course, but surprising because usually the bed looks "like new" (duvet smoothed, pillows straight). Our shoes had left dried dirt in the entryway, and I was surprised it wasn't vacuumed up quickly. Sometimes you notice the room isn't cleaned if you stay less than two or three nights; it would have seemed more logical to me that the turnaround was so rushed! Hence the rating for cleanliness.
The welcome was very good. The bedding was very comfortable. However, the two cups in the room were upside down and dirty, so I looked under the bed and found it full of dust. There was no shower gel in the shower. We also ordered fish at the restaurant, which was tough, almost inedible, and tasted like it came from the sauce. To us, it looked like pre-prepared fish with sauce from a supermarket, and it was also undercooked. I mentioned this to the waitress, who reported it to the kitchen, but there was no gesture of goodwill or apology. I do not recommend this hotel.
Warm welcome, attentive listening to the customer
Stayed in the gîte. 9 people for one night, very well located for Vulcania.
Although the bed was clean and tidy, the room had its faults. The ceiling light was hanging out and naked wires and in the bathroom there was very nasty stain on the ceiling due to damp. The menu was a set menu for that evening and it was bloody awful very salty cottage pie with lettuce and a rubbish starter of charcuterie. It seems that the person serving our meal had a cold and he was sniffing continually as he was taking our order. Hope we did not catch anything. Very disappointing that there was not a menu to choose food. This was the second time I have stayed here and I will not go back again. Staff were pleasant enough and accommodating to look after medication. The rooms need updating.

Quiet hotel despite being located in the city center, I slept very well there. The food and service are quality. I recommend it.
Particularly warm welcome from the people present upon our arrival. Room with good bedding. The only downside is the soundproofing between the rooms.
Coming to spend 2 nights over a weekend with my grandchildren, 2 years old and 11 months old, my husband and I chose the gîte. It was an extraordinary, clean and functional place. Everything was perfect. We loved it. We had our meals at the restaurant as well as the delicious breakfast.
Very nice staff, even though the waiter doesn't speak a foreign language (should have called the receptionist 😌) the reception staff spoke very good English.
Very good establishment, I took 1 evening stopover, the meal was so generous that I refused dessert! The server is very friendly and exemplary liveliness. I sincerely recommend it.

It's already good to have a 3-star hotel in a village of 750 inhabitants. Good restaurant. Attentive staff. Downside: a continuous ventilation noise that can be heard at night in room 6.

Very warm welcome, smiling and attentive staff, only criticism despite a reservation several months in advance with a request for a quiet room, we were facing the main road with a constant stream of vehicles passing early in the morning, with the option of very noisy garbage collection, so the wake-up call was very early and it's a shame. We mentioned this in the morning to the person in charge of breakfast to pass the information. Thank you for reviewing this problem.

It's a shame that there was only one waiter in the restaurant, despite the exceptional quality of this man, the wait was unthinkable even for such a good meal.

The room was OK but lacked light, only 1 bedside lamp and the ceiling light!! Otherwise, the bedding was comfortable. The bathroom was very OK but there was also a lack of light.

Stopover hotel during our summer vacation, spacious room intended for 3 people but 1 extra bed was added to be able to sleep 4, it was perfect.
Spent 2 days at the Hotel de la Poste with dinner in the evening and everything was perfect. Extremely friendly staff, attentive to your needs, spotlessly clean room and a restaurant not to be missed, excellent value for money. Address kept for any future visits to the region.
We booked this hotel because the others were full. We were not disappointed. Very warm welcome, very good staff, friendly, a family spirit. Excellent rating for the restaurant with very good local products. Only one small downside related to the exceptional heatwave: lack of fans or other means to find a little coolness. Keep it up and well done.

Passing through during the GR 441. The staff is always friendly. There's little waiting time, and the ducks made me smile. The highlight is the restaurant where I dined. For 39 euros, starter, main course, and dessert, good dishes with beautiful presentation and sufficient quantities.
Very satisfied with the accommodation, however the prices of dinners at the restaurant were excessive and forced us to eat out.

The reception was not very pleasant and not very helpful upon arrival and departure. The cleanliness of the bathroom needs to be reviewed. The worst thing is the noise in the corridors, the rooms are very poorly soundproofed and you can hear everything. I was unable to sleep because of a family who was making a lot of noise after 11pm (shouting, doors slamming for 15 minutes) and the hotel management told us that it was not their responsibility. They did nothing for us.

Indeed, we had requested a room for 3 people, it is not easy to be accepted, but for elderly people, going up to the 3rd floor is a bit difficult. We will have to equip ourselves with air conditioning for the years to come. As for the service, there is nothing to complain about, even I had compassion for the young woman with the AR. As for the meals, it would be necessary to offer a vegan dish and a second children's menu. Thank you.

We appreciated the friendly welcome, the comfort of the room and the good restaurant.
Our room was tired and in need of refreshing, the bathroom shower holder was broken and sink plug missing. Food was excellent but strangely it was cheaper to eat a la carte than the same from the fixed price menu option and indeed the waitress didn't offer us the best deal. Our stay was especially let down by the breakfast and checkout services - the staff on checkout once again weren't ETIK trained and even worse the promise for a colleague to process our etik card wasn't realised, disappointing.

We booked a triple room with three separate beds. We received a (maid's) room with three separate beds in a room measuring just under 16 m². After complaining, a larger (free) room was made available to us.

Rooms are rather basic and you depend a lot on your neighbours. We were rather unkucky with ours. Restaurant is good, but was very good a few years ago. We were sent a questionnaire a few days before arrival, but nobody read our answers. So we were asked again. Rather unprofessional.
