The hotel is very good. Unfortunately, the building is old, so soundproofing isn't its strong point. Adding pads to the chair legs would improve the comfort of those staying on the lower floor.

A lovely place to stay, has a family run feel, the building fits perfectly into the old town and the view from my window was awesome. I didn’t want to shut the curtains. Good neatly presented breakfast too :) Good one.
I really liked the hotel, the staff were so welcoming (its family owned hotel and much loved), and the facilities were very comfortable. They do warn you that this is a historic building with no lift - but I had no problems (stayed on 3rd floor). I believe accessible rooms are available.
Nice clean room right in the ramparts. Shower a bit week but bed comfortable.
Excellent stay
A comfortable stay in a unique location. The hotel is situated away from the busy areas but with easy and quick access to the rest of the city (Intra Muros) and beaches. Wonderful walls at low tide and interesting surroundings. Saw no evidence of wheel chair access facilities so unable to comment further.

Strategic location right inside the city walls, panoramic view from the room. Unfortunately, the building doesn't have an elevator, and my room was on the third floor, as I had a suitcase. The bathroom sink was a bit clogged, and the water drained very slowly.

Wij zijn zeer tevreden over ons verblijf. De slaapkamer was comfortabel, schoon en hygiënisch, precies zoals je hoopt tijdens een vakantie. The location of the hotel was excellent and the room was clean and the personal friendly. Only problem was the lack of elevator, it was a bit tough to carry your luggage in the narrow stairs

Very well located (within the walls of St Malo) which allowed us to really enjoy the city. The beach is almost at the foot of the hotel. The room overlooking the courtyard/small street is well soundproofed. The bathroom is a little small but it has everything you need and is very clean. We were able to park our bikes safely. I would recommend this hotel for the welcome and the value for money.

No television 4 days out of 5, no commercial gesture from the management when I left, boss not really friendly unlike the staff! Minimum welcome. Outdated bathroom. View of a wall. Disappointed, because I already stayed in this hotel with my son 35 years ago, I had very good memories of it and I wanted to come back with my grandson.

Regarding the television, our team came every day to check that it was working properly. Unfortunately, you were only there once, which allowed us to show you how to use the device, which was working properly. Regarding the goodwill gesture you mentioned, we do not understand your comment: we were available throughout your stay. If the room did not suit you, you could have just come and see us at reception - we would have done what was necessary to improve your comfort. The room reserved offered a view of the city or an interior courtyard, as indicated when you made your reservation via Booking.com. We are sorry if this did not meet your expectations.
Finally, regarding your remarks about management's attitude, we regret that you perceived it that way. However, we also wish to express our concern about the repeated comments, shared across multiple platforms. When they personally attack someone, they can, unfortunately, amount to a form of cyberbullying, which is no longer acceptable.

Nous sommes désolés que certains aspects de votre séjour n’aient pas répondu à vos attentes. Il est toutefois bien précisé sur l’ensemble de nos sites de réservation que nos chambres sont accessibles uniquement par escaliers, l’établissement ne disposant pas d’ascenseur.
Concernant l’accueil, notre réception est ouverte tous les jours de 8h à 19h30. En dehors de ces horaires, un service d’arrivée autonome est mis en place pour vous permettre d’accéder facilement à votre chambre.

A very nice experience to repeat. You will always find a better, bigger, more luxurious hotel, but if that is not what you are looking for, and especially if you do not want to spend more than necessary, then you are at the right hotel. Ideally located hotel, sea view, you leave the hotel and 50 meters away, you are with your feet in the sand. Within the walls, the ramparts, magnificent. The environment is calm, do not hesitate to go there. The room is a good size, a 160 cm bed would be a plus as would a connected TV. The owner is very friendly. The breakfast is good, but the all-you-can-eat Sunday brunch is top notch. The big plus in our eyes is that whether at the hotel or at breakfast, my 2 small dogs were accepted. (A little expensive though, 13€/day and /dog). Next time I come back to St Malo, I won't even look anywhere else, I'll go straight there.
Lovely Hotel by the Ramparts in St Malo, plenty of parking nearby and the room was light and aired with a view of the sea. Breakfast is served across the road and consisted of fruit, yogurt,, boiled egg, pastries, bread tea or coffee.

Hotel well located on the edge of the ramparts. Nice little room very clean with sea view (room 16). Friendly welcome. We did not try the breakfast but it looked very good.
