The first impression was great, as the man at the reception was lovely. But, the room was REALLY cold and we had an awful night. Like the worse in a very long time. No duvets, only old blankets not wide enough for the bed. We even left the hotel really early so bad we felt in the room, it ruined our stay in Beaune.
I told the woman at the reception in the morning but she couldn't care less, so I emailed the manager in hope for a kind word, but I didn't get any sympathy from him either. Just a long email explaining that it is the way it is. A bit of sympathy or a "sorry" would have made it less sore, but neither the staff nor the manager seem to have that word in their vocabulary.
We stayed in December and our room was very warm. Parking easy and generous. German stations on TV (not a given in France!). Reception was friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. Hotel close to centre of Beaune.

A beautiful place, a little out of time. We appreciated the welcome, the breakfast, and the pleasant setting.
Lovely building and staff. Room clean and comfortable but at this price I’d expect bottles of water and nice bathroom products. Breakfast pricy too. Good to have climate control but why can’t guests set temperature - we like a cold room so had to open windows in October - and got bitten!!

Everything was perfect
I had a great stay at this hotel. The staff was particularly kind, welcoming, and attentive throughout my stay. You immediately feel at ease, almost like you're at home. The decor is pretty, neat, and tastefully done, which makes the place even more welcoming. A great place that I recommend without hesitation!

Lovely stay. Hugely friendly staff who provided a great welcome with information of local town and where to go for our short one night stay. Decor a little dated but charming hotel, would recommend.
We arrived to this hotel at about 4pm and were shown to our room . Upon entering we noticed a strong gaseous smell in the room similar to stagnant water . We went to reception and waited until a staff member came to the room . He told us that this was an issue with the Air conditioning and that they had 1 other room available but that it had the same issue . He suggested turning off the A/C and leaving the window open . This was not acceptable as the hotel is on the roadside and the weather was touching 30 degrees.
We then asked for the reservation to be cancelled as we could not stay there. It was when we asked for this that the receptionist (Ishmael ) became agrressive and rude and insulting. He told us this was not possible as the owner was away out of the country on holidays and could only do this when he came back next week and we could either stay or leave , he did not care. We contacted Booking.com while we were there and he confirmed that this was a systemic problem with the A/C in that wing but could not refund us without the owners consent. We left feeling very poorly treated . The hotel itself looks beautiful from the outside but is very shoddy and tired. The lack of staff was shocking as Ishmael was the only staff member we saw during the 1.5 hour check in debacle.
The owner subsequently contacted Booking.com and lied throughout the entire conversation. He condescendingly said that the smell was not gas but essential oils and that we could not tell the difference between the two and that there was no issue with the A/C and that my wife was shouting and causing a scene at the desk with all the staff (???) and customers. He then said that he would 'magically' be there in the morning ( not on holiday for another week!!! ) .
I feel that the owner and staff should accept the issues and deal with them professionally. The hospitality industry is not for everyone and perhaps this owner should look for another profession as, abusing customers and lying are not part of the job description for hoteliers. All of the above can be verified with the booking.com customer support team should the owner reply with more defensive rhetoric.

Very nice hotel with a good location and a wonderful relationship quality/price
Het ziet er mooi uit van buiten en het parkeren is ideaal zo op die binnenplaats.
Wij hadden een familiekamer maar ik vond de sfeer niet helemaal fris. De kamer rook muf, naar een 17-eeuws kasteel :).
De kamer is donker en bedompt. We misten ook echt een waterkoker of koffieapparaat of een koelkastje.
Er zijn verder weinig extra’s. Badkamer verder oké, het personeel ook.
We hadden geen ontbijt dus die service kan ik niet beoordelen.
Ik zou bij een volgend bezoek aan Beaune aan ander hotel proberen.

Magnificent stay in a beautiful setting
Room was large and clean and the bed was reasonably comfortable. There were no tea or coffee making facilities which was disappointing and the room decor was a bit dull.
Good service, friendly, but nothing extraordinary for the price paid. However, note the very pretty exterior. We had a room on the second floor with non-adjustable air conditioning, just on/off, not very practical.

It’s a beautiful, historical building that is well located in Beaune. Staff are very friendly and the courtyard is a fantastic place to read as it catches the sun for most of the day. It would be nice if guests were allowed to use the inside part of the terrace during the day if it is raining rather than being stuck in the stuffy rooms or bars (I was told I could not and that it was for breakfast only, despite there seemingly to be no reason why I couldn’t sit there with a book and a coffee).
The accommodation inside is dated and appears to be showing its age. For example, the AC units didn’t have a control in my room and couldn’t be manually changed. Whilst it did work it was pretty noisy and would make spluttering noises randomly in the night. The chain on my bathroom toilet kept getting stuck which meant I had the sound of the toilet refilling for most of the day when I was in the room (it would randomly stop). It would be good to add proper soap dispensers to bathrooms to modernise them rather than a hand bar of soap for washing hands. A kettle in the room would also be a good experience. Generally, the hotel lacked the little details (the charging sockets next to the bed being on the floor and difficult to reach for example).
Staff were super friendly and the price of coffee from the bar was very reasonable.

Lovely hotel. Super professional staff. Just one small drawback: the beds have blankets, not duvets. Breakfast is served at the table, simple and plentiful.

An exceptionally charming hotel with a very pleasant and peaceful interior courtyard for breakfast or a late afternoon drink. The staff is very welcoming and professional. The breakfast is complete with fresh produce. The location is ideal, a 5-minute walk from the Hospices de Beaune. Parking is available in the interior courtyard.

Feels like a well run, traditional French hotel that puts service first. Quick walk to town centre & all sites you may want to visit. Secure parking on premises. Attractive accommodation. And PROPER freshly squeezed orange juice at breakfast alongside all the pastries and cooked egg options you can think of.
Not great. Good location, clean, and helpfull staff. But very poorly equiped, and hotel is smelly due too poor ventilation of kitchen. Very mean breakfast and offerings. Bring your own shampoo and toiletpaper. Due to the added extras far too expensive for what it is.
The location is a stone's throw from the center, parking is available, the accommodation has the charm of the Belle Époque, the room is clean, and the staff is very welcoming, polite, and pleasant. This is what we look for during our stays. The only downside was the hardness of the mattress. It's really very rare that this bothers us so much.

We have stayed in this hotel several times and find everything excellent. It is also very convenient for the centre of Beaune.
I am deeply disappointed by the quality of the service at the Belle Époque Hotel. I admit that I made a mistake by forgetting to cancel my reservation, and I acknowledge my responsibility in this regard. That same evening, the reception called me to ask me what time I would arrive. I explained to them that I would not be coming and that I was sincerely sorry for forgetting to cancel. However, I had not received any reminder email, unlike what other hotels usually do, which notify the day before, the day before or the same day to remind people to cancel if necessary. The lady on the phone, very kind, told me that she would consult her manager and that she would call me back to inform me of the decision: whether I would be charged for everything, part of it, or nothing at all. I would have perfectly understood if they had charged me for part of the stay. But, to my great surprise, they charged me for the entire amount, i.e. two rooms that I had never set foot in. I find this decision very average, even if I understand the need to charge for unsold rooms. So it is a very disappointing experience.
