Excellent overnight stay! One minor drawback: limited menu choices, but this was more than made up for by the quality of the food.
Excellent overnight stay. The welcome was warm, and the room's space and amenities were perfect. The dining and breakfast rooms were very pleasant and beautifully decorated. The space and view from the terrace in front of the room were wonderful. Located on the banks of the Vendée River, it's magnificent. My only very minor complaint was the twin beds. I would have preferred a double bed, but I don't usually mention it. I'll keep that in mind for next time. Don't hesitate to stay here, even if it means making a slight detour!
Despite its isolation, the restaurant offers a high standard of cuisine, with an exceptional wine list.
A very warm welcome, a pleasant setting, a simply decorated but spacious room with access to a terrace overlooking the riverbank, complete amenities, a spacious bathroom, a buffet breakfast with a wide selection of fresh products, all in a magnificent setting, and dinner that was more than perfect: the same magnificent setting and service of the same quality as the food. The hotel's elegance and distinguished cuisine are not exaggerated descriptions.

For a multi-night business trip, this is a hotel you'll want to stay in. A bucolic setting, professional staff, a friendly atmosphere, a warm welcome, attentive customer service, a spacious and comfortable room, and excellent, carefully prepared cuisine.

Very good considering the off-season rate, nice clean and well-equipped room with kettle and coffee, nice linen, very warm welcome. However, restaurant too expensive and breakfast too late considering the business clientele off-season during the week.

Enchanting location, private terrace overlooking the Vendée River and the trees reflected in the river. The welcome, bedding, amenities, and breakfasts are well-prepared. Easy parking.
We came here a few years ago and found the same charm, the flavors always ingenious, the staff very pleasant and stylish, and the couple very welcoming, simple and attentive to the customers. Yes, I highly recommend it.
a very good moment of calm and an exceptional culinary experience the only downside that I put is for water management beyond the economy taking a shower with a trickle of water because we placed too many economizers does not leave a nice feeling

As a long-time customer of Logis Hotels, I find that this chain is stagnating. A rethink would be desirable to bring it up to date and modernize. We have entered the 21st century, don't forget that, the clientele is changing and getting younger, don't forget that.
We are satisfied with our stay. Pleasant and peaceful setting, very warm welcome, well-equipped room but carpet needs replacing. Quality catering.

This is a gem of a hotel and we greatly enjoyed our visit. The setting on the banks of the river is a delight. Everything met our expectations and the evening dinner was exceptional.

A beautiful place by the water where absolute calm reigns. Warm welcome and an excellent breakfast. Unfortunately, I was unable to eat there because the restaurant was closed on Mondays, but the owner gave us very good advice on where to eat.

A wonderful stay in this place, a true haven of peace! A true bubble of calm, relaxation and well-being. Everything is perfect: the setting and the outdoor facilities, the service with always smiling and friendly staff, the room overlooking the river and its terrace which we fully enjoyed, the refined menus and excellent breakfasts. Traditional hotel where nothing is missing! Beautifully crafted restaurant.
The rooms are not air-conditioned, nor is the restaurant... the kirs were served lukewarm and the meal was average, we have already been to this establishment in the fall and the quality has declined.
The hotel's parking lot is small, and you shouldn't miss the sign. The location is splendid, and the room overlooking the Vendée is a pure moment of bliss. The meal is simply delicious. Perfect from start to finish. Unforgettable.
Attentive welcome, trusting room and generous and varied breakfast. And the setting is superb and very quiet. The only downside is that the TV, when turned off, continues to display the time and it's super bright 🫣

Small room (number 9, for us, mattress a little soft) with a lovely view of the Vendée River and a lovely walk along the water. Quiet setting. At the restaurant, we were won over by the originality of the dishes prepared with quality products; friendly staff.
An oasis, great food.
Room with a nice view of the river but above the restaurant, so noisy late at night and early in the morning and when it's hot you can't close the window. At night, various noises... Room that could use a facelift (dirty carpet, doors that don't close properly).
Dream places, not to be missed.
This is my third stay at the Auberge de la rivière, which we particularly appreciate, especially for its cuisine. The only small criticism common to the various rooms we have occupied is that the lighting in the bathroom is insufficient; there is no light above the mirror.

Idyllic stay. Everything was perfect.
Lovely location.Room comfortable although having the toilet the other side of the room from the wash basin is unusual. We had trouble with the shower overflowing but when reported to reception it was quickly sorted. Excellent food in the restaurant although expensive.

A very beautiful establishment well located on the banks of the river with a breathtaking view, the room is spacious and comfortable, the welcome warm and professional, the catering is very refined and excellent gourmet.
A very pleasant and quiet place by the river, a room upstairs apparently to be redone (meh/bad smell when arriving) A mirror light in the bathroom that turns on by itself in the middle of the night and turns off!?! A shower in the bathtub very dangerous (slippery / shower head badly placed / not holding), towels in an unacceptable state (to be thrown away) frayed / worn / rough Window handle with rusty nail (dangerous), an entrance door to the room building that remains open or must be closed with a loud noise (for the neighbors). Restaurant Well there it is a real discovery of happiness as much by the staff, as the dining room, A simple but pleasant menu, very good dishes well prepared and tasty! A very diversified wine list
Hotel Auberge chosen a bit by chance, originally we wanted a hotel in Vouvant but there isn't one (if there is, they are poorly listed on Google). We came across the Auberge de la Rivière and really no regrets since the sites we wanted to visit were relatively close. Superb experience. A very beautiful bucolic interlude at the foot of the river. Peace and nature. The restaurant, the menu, the a la carte menu, everything is to die for, a real treat for the taste buds. The staff is friendly, all in all a very nice experience that we highly recommend.
We arrived at a hotel with a charming setting; we were welcomed by a smiling, caring and professional team. We dined at the hotel restaurant, more precisely outside, by the river, and were able to taste the chef's delicious and inventive cuisine, highlighting local products. The service is impeccable. We slept very well in a pleasant room with a terrace on the ground floor overlooking the river; the bedding is very comfortable and the bathroom has a large shower. In the morning we had a delicious breakfast where many products are homemade. Everything was perfect! Thank you to the whole team for taking such good care of their customers!
