Very friendly reception staff, beautiful renovated establishment.
Nicely renovated room, but lacks a towel warmer and shelves for toiletries.
My first night at Abalys Brest, and I'm absolutely delighted. The welcome was perfect, the modern room very well designed, the bedding incredibly comfortable, the temperature was perfect, and the shower room was spotless with two shower heads (the fixed one that practically falls on your head and the handheld one if you don't want shampoo). A nice touch: a proper hairdryer, not one of those things anchored in the bathroom that you have to hold onto with your thumb. I needed a taxi, and the lovely receptionists booked one for me immediately. I've already booked again for next week, which says it all… Go there with complete confidence. Plus, it's right next to the train station.
A very pleasant surprise, very well located; very close to the train station and the city centre, perfect welcome, I recommend it.

Hello. Since you asked for my opinion on the Hotel Abalys, I'll give it to you. My wife and I used to stay at this 2-star hotel before its renovation and change of ownership. The hotel was admittedly a bit old and poorly soundproofed, but we always found a warm welcome, large, spacious rooms at a very affordable price, not to mention the absolutely incredible breakfast which offered a very satisfying selection of food, including pastries and fresh bread. Following our stay, we found the hotel renovated—very well renovated indeed—and clean, but with small rooms where it's difficult for two people to move around. For a hotel of this standard and for the price charged, we would have liked to find a bottle of water, tissues, coffee, tea, a kettle, etc., in our room... but none of this was provided, probably due to lack of space. Regarding the breakfast, which cost €13.50, I am appalled by the poor quality of the products offered this Sunday morning: defrosted whole-grain bread, orange juice that tasted almost artificial, three small pieces of cheese, ham that was probably from the day before, one small, stale croissant...in short, pathetic for the price paid the day before...it's clever of them to do things this way because otherwise we would have had breakfast elsewhere. This hotel unfortunately no longer has the soul of Brest, and I will not be returning. We will find much more welcoming hotels than this one. Having stayed in a hotel of the same category in La Trinité-sur-Mer at the beginning of December, you are nowhere near as good...What a disappointment!

The hotel had just opened and was completely renovated: a very good first impression. The room was average size but well-equipped and soundproofed. Both the day and night staff were very welcoming and attentive – don't change a thing! The location is central and very convenient, close to the train station. A very pleasant stay; I've added this address to my favorites for a future trip.
Un séjour parfait ! Le personnel d’accueil est exceptionnel : attentif, disponible et vraiment soucieux du bien-être des clients, ce qui est rare aujourd’hui. On se sent considéré dès l’arrivée, et cela change tout.
L’emplacement est idéal, à deux pas de la gare. Les chambres sont confortables et d’une propreté irréprochable. Tout est pensé pour offrir un séjour agréable et reposant.
En résumé : service remarquable, accessibilité parfaite, confort garanti. Je recommande vivement!
